Privacy policy.

What this covers. This policy describes how Westmont Law Group LLP handles information submitted through this website. Information shared with the firm as a client is governed separately — by solicitor-client privilege, the firm’s professional obligations, and the terms of your engagement letter — and receives stronger protection than any website policy provides.

What we collect. The contact form collects what you choose to give: the nature of your matter, whether a date is attached, your name and phone number, and optionally your email, city, and a note. Submissions are delivered to the firm’s email (hosted on Microsoft 365) and used to respond to your inquiry. We do not use the information for marketing and we do not sell it to anyone.

Cookies and analytics. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Traffic is measured with a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics service that records aggregate page views, not identified individuals.

Retention. Inquiry emails are retained as part of the firm’s ordinary records, including for conflict-checking purposes. If you would like an inquiry deleted and no file was opened, write to inquiries@westmontlaw.ca.

A caution worth repeating. Until the firm has confirmed there is no conflict of interest and you have retained us, keep sensitive details out of the form. The nature of the matter is enough; the specifics belong in the call.
